President Mirziyoyev Reviews Master Plan for International Tourism Center “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan”

Bostanlyk District, April 15, 2025 — The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 14 reviewed the master plan for the International Tourism Center “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan,” a landmark project that promises to further elevate the country’s position as a leading tourism destination in the region.

The review session highlighted Uzbekistan’s dynamic investment climate, which continues to foster the emergence of innovative projects across multiple sectors. Notably, the tourism industry has seen significant momentum, with more than 2,000 new entrepreneurial ventures launched in recent years. In 2023, the number of foreign visitors to Uzbekistan surpassed 10 million for the first time, underlining the sector’s rapid expansion.

Bostanlyk district in the Tashkent region has already become a hub for tourism development, with premier resorts such as Amirsoy and Ugam River, as well as the integrated tourist zones Beldersay – Chimgan – Nanay, attracting both domestic and international travelers. Building on this progress, the government has advanced plans for the “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan” center to be developed along the shores of the picturesque Charvak Reservoir.

The master plan, prepared in collaboration with a number of foreign companies, envisions the phased construction of the center across ten compact zones. Each zone will be equipped with recreational facilities and essential amenities within walking distance, ensuring convenience and comfort for all visitors.

Key features of the project include a bridge to connect both shores of the reservoir, a vibrant boulevard, expansive beaches, and leisure areas along the waterfront. The surrounding slopes will host hotels, cottages, residential buildings, restaurants, and scenic viewing platforms. Moreover, the center will incorporate cultural, educational, medical, and sports facilities, transforming it into a year-round destination that serves both tourists and permanent residents.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of making the center accessible, inclusive, and equipped with modern infrastructure. He issued directives to ensure all necessary support services are in place to facilitate seamless development and visitor experience.

The “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan” project stands as a testament to the country’s strategic vision for tourism and regional development, while reinforcing Uzbekistan’s growing appeal to international investors and travelers alike.
