Aghdam

Aghdam, April 24, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan has initiated another phase of its “Great Return” program, relocating families to the city of Aghdam in line with directives issued by President Ilham Aliyev.

Under the latest phase of the resettlement initiative, 110 families, comprising a total of 397 individuals, have been moved to Aghdam.

The “Great Return” program forms part of the government’s broader efforts to restore and repopulate formerly displaced communities, as well as to support reconstruction and sustainable development in liberated territories.

Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of providing modern infrastructure, housing, and essential services to ensure the successful reintegration of returning residents and the long-term revitalization of the region.
