Ashgabat, May 8, 2026 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday signed a decree appointing and dismissing several prosecutors across the country, according to Turkmen official media.
Under Article 16 of the Law of Turkmenistan “On the Prosecutor’s Office of Turkmenistan,” second-class jurist Dovrangeldi Kakageldiyev was appointed prosecutor of Turkmenbashi responsible for overseeing compliance with laws in correctional institutions. Junior justice adviser Rahat Shyhmyradovich Karyev was relieved of the post following the expiration of his term.
According to the presidential decree, justice adviser Nejep Mammedamanovich Taylyyev was appointed deputy prosecutor of Mary Province, while second-class jurist Perhatberdy Ahmetberdiyevich Medetov was named prosecutor of Boldumsaz District.
Second-class jurist Aymyrat Baymyradovich Sahedov was appointed prosecutor of Dashoguz, while second-class jurist Charyyarmuhammet Orazmuhammedovich Garajayev was appointed prosecutor of Sayat District.
Junior justice adviser Nowruz Gurbanovich Amanov was appointed prosecutor of Serakhs District and relieved of his previous duties as prosecutor of Gyzylarbat District.
Meanwhile, junior justice adviser Agamyrat Italmazovich Abdullayev was appointed prosecutor of Gyzylarbat District and relieved of his former position as prosecutor of Boldumsaz District.
The decree also confirmed the dismissal of several prosecutors following the expiration of their terms of office. Junior justice adviser Shohrat Sapardurdyyevich Tayev was relieved of his duties as prosecutor of Serakhs District, junior justice adviser Toyly Allaberdiyevich Bashimov was dismissed as prosecutor of Sayat District, and junior justice adviser Rahym Charyyarovich Charyyev was relieved of his position as prosecutor of Dashoguz City.
