Baku, May 23, 2026 – The Europe Today: A Tajikistan-Azerbaijan Business Forum was held on May 22 at the Baku Business Center in Baku with the participation of representatives from government institutions, sectoral agencies, and business communities of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Azerbaijan, the event was organized within the framework of the 8th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the two countries.
The forum focused on strengthening direct ties between the business circles of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, expanding investment cooperation, and discussing prospects for the implementation of joint projects across various sectors of the economy.
During the event, participants were provided with detailed information on the economic and investment potential of both countries, the activities of free economic zones, as well as tax incentives and other benefits available to entrepreneurs and investors.
Speakers at the forum emphasized the importance of further enhancing investment cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries, establishing joint ventures, and implementing concrete projects in different fields of the economy.
Presentations and video materials highlighting Tajikistan’s investment opportunities, priority areas for economic development, and promising projects were also showcased during the forum.
As part of the event, bilateral B2B meetings were held with the participation of representatives from nearly 80 companies and enterprises from Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
The forum concluded with the signing of several bilateral agreements and the achievement of a number of understandings between companies of the two countries regarding the development and promotion of joint trade, economic, and investment projects.
