Dushanbe, July 31, 2026 – The Europe Today: Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan, Kavilmadam Ramaswami Parvathy, on Friday to discuss the current state of cooperation and explore opportunities for strengthening the longstanding partnership between Tajikistan and the UN.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the existing collaboration between Tajikistan and various United Nations entities, exchanging views on the progress of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its further development.
The discussions focused on the implementation of ongoing joint projects in Tajikistan, with both sides highlighting the importance of continued collaboration in advancing the country’s sustainable development priorities.
Minister Muhriddin and the UN Resident Coordinator also explored opportunities to expand cooperation across a wide range of sectors, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing partnerships that contribute to the socio-economic development and wellbeing of the people of Tajikistan.
The meeting underscored the strong and constructive relationship between Tajikistan and the United Nations, as both sides expressed their readiness to continue working closely on initiatives of mutual interest and to further strengthen cooperation in support of sustainable development goals.
