Russian Ambassador Extends Heartfelt Independence Day Greetings to Pakistan

Islamabad, August 14, 2026 — The Europe Today: Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to the Government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

In his congratulatory message, Ambassador Khorev said the national day was a testament to the courage, determination and strong spirit of the Pakistani people.

He observed that over the decades, Pakistan had pursued its own path of development, guided by the ideals and aspirations of its founding fathers.

Highlighting bilateral relations, the Russian ambassador underscored the traditionally friendly and mutually respectful ties between Russia and Pakistan.

He noted that the two countries shared a long history of cooperation and maintained close and constructive contacts across a wide range of areas.

Ambassador Khorev expressed confidence that Russia and Pakistan would continue working together to strengthen mutual understanding and expand their partnership for the benefit of both nations.

Describing Independence Day as a day of national pride, joy and celebration for the Pakistani people, he wished that peace, stability and prosperity would prevail throughout the country.

He extended his best wishes to all Pakistanis for good health, success and prosperity and prayed for blessings upon Pakistan and its hardworking people.
