Rawalpindi, September 14, 2026 – The Europe Today: Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al Hajjar called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Monday during his two-day visit to Pakistan.
According to a news release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two dignitaries exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security situation and prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations in the security domain.
The meeting also underscored the importance of strengthening institutional linkages and promoting greater cooperation between the security institutions of Pakistan and Lebanon.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations with Lebanon and expressed the desire to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of common interest.
The visiting Lebanese minister appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and stability and acknowledged the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
The meeting reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Lebanon to enhancing security cooperation and strengthening institutional ties in support of regional peace and stability.
