St. Petersburg, September 26, 2026 — The Europe Today: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he intends to participate in the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in China, while noting that the final decision will depend on the situation inside Russia.
Speaking to reporters in St. Petersburg, Putin reaffirmed his intention to take part in the summit and related discussions.
“I intend to take part in this work,” Putin said, while reiterating that the final decision regarding his participation would ultimately depend on developments inside Russia.
The APEC summit is scheduled to bring together leaders of member economies to discuss regional economic cooperation and other issues of common interest.
