Islamabad, October 09, 2026 – The Europe Today: On October 08, 2026, Pakistan and Azerbaijan have taken a significant step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation in the creative and cultural sectors, following a meeting between Syed Usman Tahir, Founder of the Pakistan Creative Economy, Culture & Trade Council, and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to expand collaboration between the two brotherly countries in creative industries, culture, trade and the wider creative economy. It was agreed that a dedicated Pakistan–Azerbaijan Country Desk will be established under the Council to serve as a platform for promoting and facilitating such cooperation.
The Embassy of Azerbaijan assured its full support and facilitation in developing meaningful partnerships, cultural exchanges, business opportunities and institutional collaborations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
Speaking on the occasion, Syed Usman Tahir said the initiative is expected to open new avenues of opportunity and further strengthen people-to-people and economic ties between the two nations.
The development reflects the growing momentum in Pakistan–Azerbaijan relations, which are rooted in shared history, cultural affinity and mutual respect, and which both countries continue to broaden across diverse fields.
