Islamabad, October 23, 2026 – The Europe Today: Cuban-Pakistani families residing in Islamabad gathered at the Embassy of Cuba in Pakistan for a cultural evening to commemorate Cuban National Culture Day, celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage and enduring national identity.
The event brought together Cuban women, their Pakistani spouses and their children, reflecting the cultural ties and family connections between the two countries. The gathering also commemorated the centenary of the Commander in Chief and the 50th anniversary of Cuba’s Ministry of Culture.
The cultural evening was attended by friends and supporters from the cultural sector, along with members of solidarity movements supporting Cuba, who joined the Cuban-Pakistani families in marking the occasion.
A particularly moving moment came when a Cuban resident of Islamabad recited a poem expressing deep love for her homeland and reaffirming her commitment to Cuba while living far from her country.
The gathering provided an opportunity for Cuban nationals and their Pakistani families to celebrate their cultural roots, share their traditions and strengthen bonds of friendship and solidarity.
The celebration highlighted the importance of preserving national identity and cultural heritage among communities living abroad, while reinforcing the people-to-people connections between Cuba and Pakistan.
