Compilation of Xi Jinping’s Discourses on Water Management Published

Beijing, October 9, 2024 – The Europe Today: The compilation of key excerpts from speeches and written works by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on water management has been released by the Central Party Literature Press. The book underscores the significant progress made in water-related disaster control, water resource conservation, and environmental management since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012.

Featuring 297 pieces of discourse from over 130 important speeches and writings between December 2012 and August 2024, the book covers six thematic areas and highlights China’s efforts to improve water security under Xi’s leadership. Several passages included in the publication are being made public for the first time, providing new insights into the country’s strategic approach to water management as it works toward building a modern socialist nation.

Xi’s discourses emphasize the importance of water security in national development, reflecting his commitment to balancing economic growth with ecological sustainability.
