Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Attend COP29 in Azerbaijan

Budapest, October 15, 2024 – The Europe Today: Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will represent his country at the upcoming COP29 climate summit, according to Hungary’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Tamás Torma. The announcement was made during an event celebrating Hungary’s National Day, as reported by NHC.

This marks Orbán’s third visit to Azerbaijan within a year, underscoring the strengthening ties between the two nations. Ambassador Torma praised Azerbaijan’s preparations for hosting COP29, calling it a “significant challenge” and noting the importance of Azerbaijan’s efforts in benefiting the global community.

“Hungary and the Hungarian Embassy fully support the objectives of Azerbaijan’s Presidency, and we are confident that Azerbaijan will successfully host the event,” Torma stated.
