Tashkent, November 3, 2024 – The Europe Today: A Presidential Resolution titled “On Measures to Establish Navoi State University” was officially adopted on October 31, marking a significant step forward for higher education in the region. The new university will be formed by transforming Navoi State Pedagogical Institute into a comprehensive academic institution.
The resolution outlines that one of the university’s primary objectives will be to develop a continuous education system tailored to meet the region’s industrial and economic needs. The university will focus on training, retraining, and providing advanced education to scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel equipped with modern knowledge and skills.
All current students of Navoi State Pedagogical Institute will seamlessly continue their studies at the newly established university. Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, graduates will receive university diplomas, and from the 2025/2026 academic year, the university will introduce new programs in various fields, including:
- Exact and natural sciences
- Information technology
- Artificial intelligence
- Economics
- Business and tourism
- Investment management
- Agriculture
- Ecology and environmental protection
- Logistics
Additionally, Navoi State University will launch joint educational programs in collaboration with leading national and international higher education institutions, allowing students to earn dual diplomas in the newly developed educational areas.
