Baku, November 6, 2024 – The Europe Today: The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Ombudsman) and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population held a joint meeting to enhance cooperation in addressing citizens’ complaints and safeguarding social rights, according to News Hub Consultants.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Hidayət Abdullayev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, and Aydın Səfixanlı, Head of the Ombudsman’s Office, along with department heads and other relevant personnel from both institutions. Discussions focused on improving responsiveness to citizen complaints, investigating issues related to social rights, and ensuring higher satisfaction through joint problem-solving and legal awareness efforts.
Both sides shared insights on the importance of coordinated efforts to address public concerns effectively. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on strengthening information exchange and conducting human rights awareness campaigns to improve public understanding of their social rights.
This initiative reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to enhancing public service efficiency and protecting citizens’ social and human rights through inter-institutional collaboration.
