Riyadh, November 7, 2024 – The Europe Today: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, held high-level meetings with key Saudi leaders, including Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman. The discussions encompassed a wide range of mutual interests, notably in regional peace, defence and security cooperation, and strategies to further enhance bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, General Munir expressed his deep appreciation for the Crown Prince’s steadfast support for Pakistan, acknowledging his significant efforts in promoting peace and stability in the region.
The COAS also held a separate meeting with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman, where both leaders underscored their commitment to strengthening defence and security cooperation. Further engagements included talks with Engineer Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defence; Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Bin Hamed Bin Raqeeb Al Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces; and Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud Al-Johani, Chief of the Royal Saudi Land Forces. These discussions reaffirmed the robust military partnership and underscored shared aspirations for regional stability and cooperative security.
