Azerbaijan Showcases Tourism Potential at Pakistan Travel Mart in Karachi

Baku, February 4, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s rich tourism offerings were prominently featured at the Pakistan Travel Mart exhibition held in Karachi, underscoring the country’s growing appeal as a global travel destination.

Organized by the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, Azerbaijan’s participation included Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and six leading tourism companies. Visitors to the Azerbaijani stand were introduced to the country’s UNESCO-listed cultural and historical landmarks, renowned national cuisine, diverse tourism routes, and modern infrastructure.

Strengthening connectivity between the two nations, AZAL has launched direct flights from Baku to Islamabad and Lahore, facilitating greater travel opportunities for Pakistani tourists.

Azerbaijan’s tourism sector continues to experience remarkable growth, with 80,924 Pakistani citizens visiting the country in 2024—a significant 47% increase compared to 2023. The surge reflects Azerbaijan’s rising prominence as a preferred destination for Pakistani travelers, driven by cultural ties, enhanced travel links, and strategic tourism promotion efforts.
