Kupang, February 17, 2025 – The Europe Today: International football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, widely known as CR7, is scheduled to visit Indonesia’s East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province on Tuesday, February 18, as confirmed by NTT’s Acting Governor, Andriko Noto Susanto.
The Portuguese football legend, who currently plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia’s top-tier league, is expected to arrive at 11 a.m. at El Tari Airport in Kupang, the capital city of NTT.
The NTT Provincial Association of the All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) informed the NTT provincial government about the planned visit via a formal letter. According to the letter, Ronaldo’s visit, facilitated by the Graha Kasih Foundation, aims to foster discussions with the acting governor regarding football and the province’s development.
A meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 19, at 10:30 a.m. local time at the governor’s office in Kupang.
In preparation for the high-profile visit, the NTT Regional Police are coordinating with PSSI’s NTT office to ensure robust security arrangements. Grand Commissioner Henry Novika Chandra, Head of the Police’s Public Relations Division, confirmed that a meeting will take place soon to finalize the security measures.
Chandra also appealed to the public and local stakeholders to assist in maintaining security and order during Ronaldo’s visit, ensuring a smooth and peaceful experience for the football star.
