Tashkent, June 8, 2025 — The Europe Today: At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan from June 8 to 10, 2025.
According to the official program, high-level negotiations are scheduled to take place in Tashkent, during which both sides will discuss pressing matters related to the development of multifaceted Uzbek-Slovak cooperation.
Special focus will be placed on strengthening collaboration in key sectors such as trade, investment, innovation, agriculture, industry, energy, and tourism. In addition, both parties will explore new opportunities in organized labor migration, as well as enhancing cultural, humanitarian, and educational exchanges.
Discussions will also include international and regional issues, with an emphasis on mutual support in multilateral platforms.
The visit is expected to culminate in the signing of several bilateral agreements aimed at deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia.
As part of his visit, Prime Minister Robert Fico will also participate in the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum, highlighting Slovakia’s commitment to enhancing economic ties with Central Asia.
