Tashkent, July 14, 2025 – The Europe Today: The President of Uzbekistan has signed a resolution titled “On the preparation and celebration of the 34th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, initiating comprehensive preparations for one of the most significant national events of the year.
According to the resolution, the 34th Independence Day celebrations will be held under the inspiring motto: “For the sake of the Motherland, for the sake of the nation, for the sake of the people!” The commemorative events are set to take place on a grand scale, spanning the entire country from regional centers to local communities.
A detailed concept for the celebrations has been approved, with a diverse program of cultural, educational, and sports activities planned. These include nationwide concerts, competitions, public gatherings, and educational events aimed at highlighting the significance of Uzbekistan’s independence and the country’s achievements.
Among the key events are traditional creative contests such as “The Homeland Through the Eyes of an Artist”, “Living for the Homeland!”, and “The Greatest, the Dearest”. These will be complemented by the final round of competitions for the best patriotic songs and musical compositions, with winners to be honored in a festive ceremony on the eve of Independence Day.
The resolution also outlines the formation of special working groups to oversee and implement various initiatives, including spiritual-educational conferences, literary evenings, national film days, and public discussions focused on the historical and contemporary importance of independence. These groups will be composed of renowned scientists, cultural and artistic figures, athletes, creative professionals, and civic representatives.
All necessary conditions will be ensured to support the effective work of these groups and facilitate broad community engagement in the celebrations.
Oversight of the resolution’s implementation has been entrusted to the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and the Head of the Social Development Department of the Presidential Administration, ensuring the coordinated execution of planned activities at all levels.
