Tashkent, July 20, 2025 – The Europe Today: Uzbekistan’s athletes delivered impressive performances at the 2025 Summer World University Games held in Germany, securing silver medals in both gymnastics and swimming.
In rhythmic gymnastics, Takhmina Ikromova showcased her exceptional talent by earning a total of 112.700 points across four apparatus routines. She scored 28.300 points in the ball exercise, 27.800 with the hoop, 29.600 with clubs, and 27.000 with the ribbon, earning her the silver medal overall in the all-around category.
In swimming, Eldorbek Usmanov added to Uzbekistan’s medal tally with a silver medal in the 50-meter butterfly event, clocking an impressive time of 23.33 seconds.
These achievements underscore the growing strength of Uzbekistan’s young athletes on the international stage and reflect the country’s commitment to the development of sports and youth talent.
