Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu Holds Productive Talks with AmCham Romania on Strengthening Romania–U.S. Strategic Partnership

Bucharest, August 22, 2025 – The Europe Today: Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu held a productive meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) to explore new avenues for enhancing the Romania–U.S. Strategic Partnership.

The discussions focused on identifying new investment projects, expanding commercial cooperation, and advancing joint efforts for Romania’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Both sides also agreed to organize the fourth edition of the Romania–U.S. Economic Forum.

Minister Toiu expressed appreciation for the business community’s contribution to promoting Romania as a reliable partner and an attractive destination for investments. She also thanked AmCham for its support of Romania’s inclusion in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, noting that the Chamber will continue to collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to achieve this objective and strengthen Romania’s image in the United States.

“I am convinced that constant dialogue between the public and private sectors is the key for Romania to better utilize economic opportunities and play an important role in the region, including through supporting our neighbors’ European integration,” Minister Toiu said.
