New York, September 28, 2025 – The Europe Today: Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu held a substantive discussion with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
The talks focused on regional developments in the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, as well as global initiatives led by the United Nations regarding the regulation and safe use of Artificial Intelligence.
Minister Țoiu reaffirmed Romania’s firm support for a more efficient and effective United Nations and reiterated the country’s commitment to strengthening the rules-based international order.
She emphasized that Romania remains an active partner of the UN in advancing peace, security, and sustainable development worldwide.
