Gabala, October 6, 2025 – The Europe Today: On October 6, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), in Gabala.
During the meeting, President Aliyev fondly recalled his past interactions with Binali Yıldırım and highlighted the latter’s previous visits to Azerbaijan.
Binali Yıldırım expressed gratitude to President Aliyev for supporting the activities of the OTS and emphasized that the Council of Elders will continue to play an active role in promoting cooperation among Turkic states.
The leaders discussed the significance of the upcoming 12th Summit of the OTS Council of Heads of State, expressing confidence that the event, like other major international forums hosted by Azerbaijan, will be successfully organized.
The conversation also highlighted the ongoing expansion of fraternal and strategic relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across all sectors, underscoring the deepening partnership between the two countries.
