Islamabad, November 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: A diplomatic reception marking the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III was hosted at the High Commission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Islamabad, drawing high-level participation from Pakistani leadership and members of the diplomatic community.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov attended the event, which held particular significance due to the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as the Chief Guest. In his address, the Prime Minister praised King Charles III for his exemplary commitment to public service, his lifelong dedication to global causes, and his role as a symbol of unity and humanitarian leadership.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott invited Ambassador Movlamov, in his capacity as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, to join her and the Prime Minister on stage as the guest of honor. Following the speeches delivered by the British High Commissioner and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the three jointly performed the ceremonial cake cutting held in celebration of the King’s birthday.
The reception showcased a harmonious blend of royal tradition, diplomatic engagement, and cultural refinement. The participation of Prime Minister Sharif underscored the enduring friendship, mutual respect, and robust partnership between Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and the diplomatic community in Islamabad.
