Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan Oil Transit Through Baku Reaches 3.7 Million Tons

Baku, January 15, 2026 – The Europe Today: The transit of oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline reached 3.7076 million tons between January and November 2025, according to data from the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, media reported.

This volume accounted for 14.9 percent of the total oil transported through the BTC pipeline during the same period. Overall, Azerbaijan’s main pipelines carried 33.4089 million tons of oil from January to November 2025.

The 1,768-kilometer Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline transports crude oil from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean, beginning in Baku, Azerbaijan, passing through Georgia, and terminating at the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean coast.
