Turkmenistan, Japan’s Muroosystems Ink MoU to Advance Data Center Development

Ashgabat, April 1, 2026 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Communications has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Muroosystems Corporation to enhance cooperation in the development of modern data centers across the country, marking a significant step toward strengthening the nation’s digital infrastructure.

The agreement was formalized during a meeting in Ashgabat between Minister of Communications Hajymyrat Hudaygulyyev and Muroosystems Corporation Chief Executive Officer Pan Zhongxin.

Under the MoU, both sides will collaborate on the construction of advanced data centers utilizing cutting-edge technological solutions aligned with international standards. The discussions also highlighted the adoption of innovative methodologies during the design and commissioning phases of the projects.

Officials noted that the implementation of the agreement is expected to significantly boost Turkmenistan’s IT capabilities by expanding data storage and processing capacity, while accelerating the digitalization of key sectors of the national economy.

The meeting was facilitated with the support of Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Japan, underscoring growing bilateral cooperation in the field of technology and digital transformation.
