Baku, April 4, 2026 – The Europe Today: By a decree signed on March 31, 2026, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has ordered the provision of Presidential monthly scholarships to the family members of two deminers who lost their lives during mine clearance operations.
According to the decree, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population has been tasked with granting financial support to four family members of Seymur Rashid oglu Namazov and Ragif Deputat oglu Isayev, who were killed in an explosion caused by detonating explosive ordnance while carrying out demining activities.
The decree stipulates that the allocated scholarship amount will be distributed equally among the designated beneficiaries, in proportion to the number of eligible family members.
The initiative reflects the government’s continued commitment to supporting the families of individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in ensuring public safety and advancing post-conflict recovery efforts in Azerbaijan.
