Baku, June 26, 2026 – The Europe Today: First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva marked June 26 – Armed Forces Day by sharing a message on her official social media accounts, paying tribute to the country’s military and fallen heroes.
In her post, Mehriban Aliyeva expressed pride in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces for bringing the joy of victory to the nation.
“We are proud of our Army, which has brought the joy of Victory to our people! May Allah have mercy on our martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives for the Motherland! May the Almighty protect our people and our beloved Azerbaijan!” the message read.
Armed Forces Day, observed annually on June 26, commemorates the dedication and service of Azerbaijan’s military personnel and honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
