Islamabad, August 18, 2026 — The Europe Today: Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Pakistan Yusuf Sharifzoda held a meeting with Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain to discuss bilateral relations and prospects for further cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current state of Tajikistan-Pakistan relations and exchanged views on prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Particular attention was given to strengthening economic, trade and investment ties, as well as cooperation in labour and human resource development.
The discussions also covered sectoral matters of mutual interest, with both sides emphasising the importance of enhancing practical cooperation and promoting initiatives that could contribute to closer economic and people-to-people ties.
The Tajik ambassador and the federal minister reaffirmed their readiness to maintain dialogue and work towards further strengthening bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
