President Emomali Rahmon Puts Two New Facilities into Operation in Roghun

Dushanbe, August 20, 2026 — The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, on August 20 remotely inaugurated two additional facilities as part of his working visit to the city of Roghun.

A new building of the “Osoishgohi Asri 21” Limited Liability Company was commissioned on Olim Karimi Street in the Obi Garm township.

The new sanatorium was constructed by local entrepreneurs in honour of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence.

The facility includes treatment and recreation rooms, therapeutic water pools, a dining hall and a gym. It is designed to accommodate up to 40 holidaymakers at a time. During the construction phase, 21 people were temporarily employed.

A new building of the State Institution for the Maintenance of the City’s Motor Roads was also commissioned in the Qadi Obi area of Roghun.

The facility comprises nine offices, a conference hall, a dining room and 19 rest rooms.

Road maintenance equipment is currently monitored through GPS technology, while the institution is expected to be connected to a digital management system in the near future.

The commissioning of the two facilities is part of ongoing development and infrastructure modernization efforts in Roghun and the wider region.
