Dushanbe, October 28, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, accompanied by Rustam Emomali, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, officially inaugurated the Shakhдob Limited Liability Company’s production facilities in the capital’s Shohmansur district on October 27, 2026.
The enterprise was established at the initiative of entrepreneur Fatkhullo Sahibov as part of efforts to support private-sector development and expand domestic industrial production. The plant specialises in the production of drinking water, beverages and confectionery products.
The facility is equipped with three technological production lines. The first two lines are dedicated to drinking water and other beverages, while the third is designed for confectionery manufacturing. During his visit, President Rahmon was informed that the production machinery and equipment had been imported from abroad and included modern, energy-efficient technologies.
According to the project specifications, the two beverage production lines have a combined daily capacity of 400,000 containers. Drinking water and beverages are produced in containers ranging from 500 millilitres to 10 litres and marketed under the Shakhдob brand.
The plant manufactures nearly 50 varieties of beverages featuring different flavours derived from fruits, vegetables and aromatic herbs. The products are supplied to the domestic market, offering consumers a diverse range of locally manufactured beverages.
Product quality and safety are monitored in the enterprise’s laboratory, which is equipped with modern testing instruments. The inspection process is conducted by experienced specialists with the necessary professional expertise to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
The third production line manufactures confectionery products under the Shirinihoi Shukrona brand. The facility has a daily production capacity exceeding three tonnes and produces 15 varieties of confectionery for the consumer market.
The plant’s launch has also created new employment opportunities for local residents, with 120 people securing permanent jobs. The initiative is expected to contribute to improving household incomes and strengthening the local economy.
In line with efforts to promote energy efficiency, solar panels have been installed on the roofs of the production buildings. The solar power system has a designed capacity of 150 kilowatts and is expected to reduce electricity consumption by up to 10 percent.
During his visit, President Rahmon highlighted entrepreneur Fatkhullo Sahibov’s contribution to the development of domestic manufacturing and the implementation of Tajikistan’s fourth national strategic goal — accelerated industrialisation.
He emphasised that the establishment of such enterprises contributes to creating new jobs, increasing domestic production, meeting the needs of the national market and strengthening the country’s industrial capacity, thereby supporting sustainable economic development.
Meanwhile, entrepreneur Fatkhullo Sahibov plans to construct an additional industrial facility adjacent to the existing plant. The new enterprise will cover an area of 1.2 hectares and specialise in producing 23 varieties of confectionery products.
The proposed facility is expected to have a daily production capacity of 30 tonnes and is scheduled to be constructed within one year. Its completion is expected to create approximately 120 additional permanent jobs.
President Rahmon instructed the relevant officials to ensure that construction work is carried out to high quality standards and that the new facility is completed and commissioned within the stipulated timeframe.
