Shenyang, January 30, 2024, The Europe Today: Chinese and Russian companies sealed a total of 55 deals valued at 13.6 billion yuan (approximately 1.91 billion U.S. dollars) during a China-Russia economic and trade cooperation conference held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province.
The agreements span various sectors, including cold-chain warehousing, financial services, and imports and exports. More than 100 entrepreneurs from Russia and other Eurasian Economic Union countries attended the conference, along with representatives from Chinese enterprises, industrial experts, and scholars.
Organized by the Shenyang municipal government and Liaoning’s department of commerce, the event provided a platform for fostering collaboration and strengthening economic bonds between the two nations.
One notable agreement involved the Shenyang municipal government and China Eastern Airlines, which signed a letter of intent to inaugurate a regular passenger air route connecting Shenyang and Moscow by late February. This initiative is expected to facilitate enhanced connectivity and cooperation between the two regions.
