Hanoi, August 30, 2024, The Europe Today: Vietnam’s Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre in Đông Anh District, Hanoi, on Friday. The ambitious project, developed by the Vingroup conglomerate, will span 90 hectares and replace the previous exhibition centre on Giảng Võ Street.
The new centre is poised to become a premier destination for global trade events and exhibitions, facilitating connections between domestic and international enterprises and contributing to Hanoi’s economic growth.
During the ceremony, Trần Sỹ Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, highlighted the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance urban and traffic infrastructure, aimed at attracting investment, particularly in the trade expos and exhibitions sector.
Chairman Trần expressed optimism that the new centre would be capable of hosting major fairs and exhibitions at both regional and global levels. He emphasized that this facility would provide Hanoi with valuable opportunities to boost trade, investment, and tourism collaborations.
He also assured that the city would extend full support to the project’s investors, with the aim of bringing the new centre into operation as quickly as possible.
