Dubai, January 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: On January 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a pivotal meeting in Dubai with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, as part of his official visit to the UAE.
The leaders lauded the outcomes of the high-level discussions, marking a significant step in advancing bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the ongoing productive collaboration in enhancing public administration efficiency and the training of management personnel.
Focus on Innovation and Infrastructure
The talks yielded agreements to develop and implement new joint projects in high technology, digitalization, infrastructure development, and other emerging sectors. Uzbekistan also expressed keen interest in collaborating with UAE partners in artificial intelligence to drive innovation and modernization.
Special emphasis was placed on adopting Dubai’s advanced urban development solutions in Uzbekistan. Notably, these include modern infrastructure initiatives in New Tashkent, aligning with the country’s broader urban development goals.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining an active dialogue and broadening comprehensive cooperation across all areas of mutual interest. The meeting underscored a shared vision for deepening ties and fostering practical interactions for the benefit of both nations.
