Baku, February 6, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, reinforcing Azerbaijan’s commitment to supporting the country during its ongoing crisis.
According to the decree, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy will receive funds amounting to $1 million (in manat equivalent) from the 2025 President’s Reserve Fund. These funds will be used to purchase and ship electrical equipment manufactured in Azerbaijan to assist Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The Ministry of Finance has been tasked with ensuring the necessary financial resources specified in the order, ensuring the swift allocation and deployment of aid.
Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers has been assigned to address all necessary matters arising from the implementation of this humanitarian initiative.
Azerbaijan has previously extended humanitarian and energy-related assistance to Ukraine, underscoring its continued efforts to provide essential aid and support in times of need.
