Azerbaijan Naval Forces Participate in AMAN-25 Multinational Exercise and Aman Dialogue in Pakistan

Baku, February 8, 2025 – The Europe Today: Representatives from the Azerbaijan Naval Forces are actively participating in the AMAN-25 multinational exercise and the Aman Dialogue in Karachi, Pakistan, as reported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.

The first Aman Dialogue, a key event in the series, saw Azerbaijan represented by First Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces and Chief of Staff, 1st grade Captain Teymur Murshudov. The dialogue brought together Naval Forces Commanders, Chiefs of Staff, Coast Guard Commanders, and high-ranking officials from around the globe. The discussions focused on regional maritime security and the development of joint strategies to counter the evolving challenges faced at sea.

In addition to the dialogue, the Azerbaijan Naval Forces are contributing to the AMAN-25 multinational exercise, which includes both port and sea phases. The six-person underwater offence and underwater defense groups from Azerbaijan will undertake relevant tasks as outlined in the exercise plan.

The exercise, held under the motto “Together for Peace,” involves participants from 60 countries, including ships, aircraft, special forces, explosives disposal teams, marines, and observers. The AMAN-25 exercise aims to foster peace, security, and cooperation while addressing maritime terrorism.

The event is scheduled to run until February 11, further strengthening international collaboration and reinforcing global security efforts in the maritime domain.
