Arkadag, March 11, 2025 – The Europe Today: The city of Arkadag will host the international conference titled “Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Humanitarian Activities” on March 29, 2025. The event, organized by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, during a briefing dedicated to upcoming international events.
The conference will be held as part of the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. Representatives from state and public structures of foreign countries, international organizations, and their representative offices involved in humanitarian and social activities have been invited to participate.
The forum will focus on healthcare, medical care, educational services for children and adolescents, and climate change issues. The event aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among diverse stakeholders to address global challenges.
In addition to this, Turkmenistan is set to host several other significant events in March. On March 19, Ashgabat will hold a conference entitled “International Year of Peace and Trust: The Role of Interregional Economic Cooperation in Ensuring Sustainable Development”, involving representatives from government agencies, international organizations, financial institutions, and business leaders.
Furthermore, a ministerial meeting titled “Central Asia – European Union” will also take place in Ashgabat, preceding the first “Central Asia – EU” summit.
During the briefing, representatives of international organizations and diplomatic missions acknowledged Turkmenistan’s pivotal role in promoting peace, stability, and economic integration in the region.
