Kazakh Boxer Nazym Kyzaibay Becomes Three-Time World Champion, President Tokayev Extends Congratulations

Astana, March 17, 2025 – The Europe Today:President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated Kazakh female boxer Nazym Kyzaibay on her historic achievement at the 2025 IBA Women’s Boxing World Championship held in Niš, Serbia.

In a statement released by the Akorda press service, the President lauded Kyzaibay’s remarkable feat, highlighting that she is now the first three-time world champion in the history of Kazakhstan’s boxing.

“I congratulate Nazym Kyzaibay – the first three-time world champion in the history of Kazakhstan’s boxing. This is a unique achievement,” President Tokayev expressed in his Instagram post.

The Head of State also extended his appreciation to the entire Kazakh national boxing team for their outstanding performance at the championship in Serbia.

“I want to thank the entire national team for a brilliant performance at the world championship in Serbia! I wish our girls to reach new heights in sport,” he added.

Nazym Kyzaibay, who had previously won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, secured her third world championship title in the latest edition of the IBA Women’s Boxing World Championship.

Her triumph marks a significant milestone for Kazakhstan’s boxing history, further cementing the nation’s reputation in the international sporting arena.
