Astana, April 1, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar, who is currently on an official visit to Kazakhstan, visited the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) to review its structure and key activities, according to News Hub Consultants.
During their visit, the Heads of State were briefed on the significant role the AIFC plays in attracting foreign investments and strengthening Kazakhstan’s financial sector. The centre has successfully attracted investments amounting to 14.4 billion US dollars, with 7.1 billion allocated to portfolio investments at the Astana International Exchange and 7.3 billion in investments from AIFC participants.
Currently, nearly 3,700 companies from 80 countries are registered at the AIFC, demonstrating its global appeal as a financial hub.
President Pirc Musar’s visit to Kazakhstan marks an important step in fostering bilateral economic cooperation between the two nations, with discussions focusing on investment opportunities and financial sector development.
