Islamabad, May 5, 2025 – The Europe Today: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has underscored the significance of strengthening Iran’s relations with Pakistan and other neighboring countries, highlighting Tehran’s commitment to fostering regional stability and cooperation.
Speaking to reporters upon his arrival at Islamabad International Airport, Araqchi stated that his official visit to Pakistan aims to review bilateral relations and exchange views on pressing regional developments. He affirmed that Iran is working to elevate its cooperation with Pakistan to a more strategic and constructive level.
“The relationship between Iran and Pakistan is of high importance to us, as are our ties with other regional partners such as India,” Araqchi noted. He emphasized the need for close consultation and collaboration between neighboring countries to address common challenges and seize mutual opportunities.
Commenting on the broader geopolitical context, the Foreign Minister said the regional situation holds considerable importance for Iran. He reiterated Iran’s consistent position in favor of de-escalation and peaceful dialogue, urging all parties in the region to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could lead to heightened tensions.
