Dushanbe, August 27, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon has inaugurated 10 new social and service facilities in Danghara district, including a 16-kilometre road in the village of Safedob.
The newly commissioned facilities comprise roads and bridges, social, service and sports infrastructure, all constructed through the contributions of entrepreneurs and patriotic residents of Danghara district without the use of state budget funds.
During the visit, President Emomali Rahmon was presented with the newly built 16-kilometre road in Safedob village, as well as asphalt roads in the villages of Astona, Saforud, Gijovak, Khurramzamin, Rakhshonzamin, Kalkot, Rahmonion, the 15th neighbourhood and Danghara town. A newly constructed bridge in Safedob was also presented.
Overall, during the Leader of the Nation’s working visit to Danghara district, 55 kilometres of roads connecting central and remote villages were commissioned with the support of local entrepreneurs. The projects are intended to improve transportation and create more convenient services and favourable living conditions for residents.
Authorities reported that the length of internal roads to be paved in the district is expected to reach 100 kilometres by the end of the year, with the work financed through contributions from local entrepreneurs and community members.
The construction of 16 kilometres of internal roads in Safedob has addressed long-standing transportation problems faced by residents and improved access to services.
As part of local development initiatives, the roads of Talkhob village in the Safobakhsh rural community were also fully asphalted over a distance of more than one kilometre by the Jamilov family. Solar panels were installed along both sides of the road.
The construction projects undertaken by Danghara entrepreneurs have contributed to improving passenger transportation and strengthening social protection for local residents.
Among the other facilities presented to the President were five residential apartments for teachers, service centres, a cultural palace, a drinking-water supply system serving 531 households with a 2,500-cubic-metre reservoir, Secondary School No. 87 designed for 540 students in two shifts, and two sports grounds in Safedob village.
A two-storey building constructed by the Boborauf farm was also commissioned to provide housing for young teachers and support their recruitment to the village. The building contains five residential apartments for young teachers and four new retail outlets, creating 10 jobs for local residents.
Residents and entrepreneurs of Safedob have been implementing development projects in anticipation of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s state independence, focusing on improving access to drinking water, developing rural infrastructure, promoting healthy lifestyles among young people, and constructing and equipping classrooms with modern technologies.
A new stadium was also commissioned in the village to encourage young people to participate in football and help identify talented players. The facility, covering more than 1,000 square metres, was built with the contribution of local resident Jamshed Raufzoda in line with initiatives of Rustam Emomali, Chairman of the Majlisi milli of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe.
The stadium will provide residents, particularly young people, with additional opportunities to engage in sports and spend their leisure time productively.
During the visit, 70 farms from Safedob village also organised an exhibition of agricultural products in honour of the President’s visit. The display demonstrated the variety and abundance of locally produced agricultural goods.
The agricultural abundance was described as a result of farmers’ dedicated work and efficient use of land resources.
The Boborauf Commercial Cooperative is among the active agricultural enterprises in Safedob. Its shareholders contribute to increasing agricultural production and supplying the local population with meat and dairy products.
The diversified cooperative cultivates 254 hectares of arable land and annually produces substantial harvests. A portion of the farm’s income is also directed towards supporting the development of Safedob village and improving local infrastructure.
