Tajikistan Highlights National Development Achievements Ahead of 35th Independence Anniversary

Dushanbe, August 28, 2026 – The Europe Today:  A meeting between First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Shermuhammad Shohiyon and community representatives of Panjakent was held in the Sarazm rural area of the city as part of preparations for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence.

According to the Majlisi Namoyandagon, the meeting focused on the country’s development achievements during the years of independence and the significance of the national milestone.

During the meeting, it was noted that Tajikistan has implemented major development projects in the road and transport and energy sectors since gaining independence. Thousands of social and production facilities have also been constructed across the country in preparation for the 35th anniversary of State Independence.

The parliamentarian and local residents exchanged views on the role and significance of Tajikistan’s State Independence in the country’s political and social life.

Participants also expressed their support for the country’s domestic and foreign policy and reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to national development and stability.
