Military

Dear Generals, Officers and Soldiers!

Dear Compatriots!

Today, the noble and proud people of Tajikistan are approaching a great national celebration — the 35th anniversary of State Independence.

This historic date is a symbol of pride in our national statehood, reverence for the sacred values of independence and freedom, and responsibility toward the present and future of our country for every citizen.

Independence and freedom are, indeed, our greatest historical achievement and the fundamental foundation for the development of our national statehood.

On the occasion of this great and sacred national celebration, I sincerely congratulate all the people of Tajikistan, the officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces, personnel of other military structures, law enforcement officers, veterans of military service, and all of you participating in today’s military parade.

Distinguished Guests!

During the 35 years of independence, Tajikistan has traveled a difficult and challenging path and overcome severe historical trials.

In particular, the early years of independence were an extremely complicated period for our country.

The imposed civil war of the early 1990s inflicted enormous political, economic and social damage on the Tajik state, which was taking its first independent steps.

During those difficult days, restoring the constitutional order, ensuring peace and stability, maintaining law and order, upholding the rule of law, and achieving national unity became matters of historic importance.

Despite all the difficulties, the Tajik people and their conscious, courageous and honorable sons, thanks to their national wisdom and strong sense of responsibility, managed to save their national state from destruction and the Tajik nation from disintegration, ensure political stability, and lay a reliable foundation for the country’s sustainable development.

In fulfilling this historic task and destiny-defining mission, military personnel of the Armed Forces and employees of law enforcement agencies played an outstanding role, demonstrating unprecedented courage and self-sacrifice in defending the constitutional order, state security, peace among the people and the rule of law.

The history of the past 35 years has clearly demonstrated that the Tajik nation has possessed a rich civilization and culture, a constructive way of thinking, longstanding traditions of statehood, and values based on peace and humanism since ancient times.

In the highly complex and sensitive conditions of the modern world, preserving and strengthening these values, as well as enhancing patriotism and a sense of responsibility, protecting state security, maintaining social stability and preserving a peaceful and constructive political and social environment are of vital and historic importance to the Tajik state and nation.

Under such circumstances, the responsibility of military personnel of the Armed Forces and employees of law enforcement agencies increases day by day and many times over.

They constitute one of the fundamental pillars of statehood and serve as guarantors of the country’s security and stability. The Constitution of Tajikistan entrusts the officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces and employees of law enforcement agencies with the protection of the great blessing of independence and freedom.

Today, we proudly declare that over the 35 years of independence, the Armed Forces of Tajikistan have developed into a disciplined, modern, powerful and professional force.

Today, military personnel of the Armed Forces, other military structures and law enforcement agencies are fulfilling their duties with a high sense of national consciousness, courage and dedication.

I emphasize that a high sense of patriotism is demonstrated, above all, through faithful performance of official duties, respect for the law, a strong sense of responsibility, and readiness to defend national interests.

Therefore, compliance with the law and military regulations, continuously improving professional skills, demonstrating responsibility, and remaining loyal to the Motherland, the state and the people of Tajikistan constitute the most important and sacred duty of every officer and soldier.

It must always be remembered that military service is not merely the performance of professional duties; it is also a manifestation of honor, dignity and the faithful fulfillment of one’s filial duty to the ancestral land.

Every serviceman must understand that the security of the country directly depends on his knowledge and skills, high level of professionalism, courage, bravery and vigilance.

Dear Officers and Soldiers!

Today’s military parade symbolizes the discipline, high level of preparedness, loyalty and devotion of the brave and courageous sons of Tajikistan to the state, the Motherland and the nation.

The history of the 35 years of independence has demonstrated that the officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies have protected the security and stability of the state and the peaceful and prosperous life of the people of Tajikistan as a reliable shield, earning the respect and pride of the country’s citizens.

I am confident that the military personnel of the Armed Forces and employees of law enforcement agencies — the loyal and devoted sons of the people of Tajikistan — will continue to fulfill their duties faithfully, with a high sense of responsibility and deep patriotism.

Once again, I sincerely congratulate all the honorable people of our country and all of you, the brave and courageous defenders of the Motherland, on the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of our beloved Tajikistan.

I wish every household in the country, above all, good health and happiness, and every serviceman a strong spirit and firm resolve.

May the State Independence of Tajikistan remain strong and eternal!

Honor to the officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces and the employees of the law enforcement agencies of independent Tajikistan!
