Dear compatriots,
Distinguished residents of the capital of independent Tajikistan,
Once again, I sincerely congratulate all of you on the occasion of the great and historic celebration marking the 35th anniversary of the independence and freedom of our beloved Motherland.
Thirty-five years ago, the honourable and proud people of Tajikistan attained political independence and proclaimed the establishment of their national state.
In other words, after many centuries, the Tajik nation restored its independent statehood and entered an entirely new chapter of its history.
Over these 35 years, Tajikistan has travelled a very difficult and challenging, yet honourable, path of nation-building and state-building.
It was precisely peace, stability and social tranquillity, achieved through tremendous effort and perseverance, that created a solid foundation for the reconstruction and development of the country and for sustainable national progress.
Today, we can proudly declare that our independent Tajikistan, thanks to the dedicated work and patriotic efforts of its people, has entered a new stage of development.
Dear compatriots,
As part of the construction and development initiatives undertaken in preparation for the sacred celebration of the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s state independence, we have today witnessed another memorable event — the inauguration of the National Stadium, with a seating capacity of 30,000.
It is worth noting that Tajikistan is gradually becoming one of the region’s important centres for hosting international sporting events.
I am fully confident that the newly constructed National Stadium will henceforth become a centre for the development of football in the country, a venue for major international and regional matches, and a training ground for future generations of modern Tajik footballers.
I would also like to express, with satisfaction and pride, an important point: all the development and improvements that have been achieved in our beloved country, including in its capital, Dushanbe, have been made possible by the blessings and opportunities provided by independence and freedom.
We must always be grateful that we are masters of our own homeland and state, and that we live in a free country and a sovereign state.
We must appreciate the invaluable blessings of independence and freedom, lasting peace, stability and national unity, and work together with solidarity and cohesion to protect and strengthen the foundations of our beloved Motherland’s independence.
We should also take pride in being heirs to one of the world’s ancient civilisations, namely the Aryan civilisation, and in the fact that the traditions of civilisation-building, cultural creativity, construction and development have been deeply rooted in our national character since ancient times.
I am confident that the honourable people of Tajikistan, particularly our patriotic youth, as well as our conscientious and dedicated entrepreneurs, will continue and further expand these noble traditions of our ancestors, who were committed to building and developing their homeland, and will further enhance the reputation and prestige of the sovereign Tajik state on the international stage.
With confidence in an even brighter future for our beloved Tajikistan, I once again sincerely congratulate all our esteemed compatriots and all of you gathered in this magnificent venue on the 35th anniversary of state independence.
I express my gratitude to the leadership of the executive authorities of our beloved capital, Dushanbe, and to its residents for their dedicated and patriotic work, their efforts to make the city more prosperous and beautiful, and their active participation in the anniversary celebrations.
I would like to emphasise that we must work even harder to develop and advance our beloved Motherland and its capital so that we can secure a worthy place among the civilised community of nations.
May state independence endure forever, may national unity remain strong, and may the State Flag of Tajikistan always fly proudly!
May our beloved Motherland become ever more prosperous and developed, may peace and tranquillity prevail in our heavenly country, and may prosperity and abundance increase in our homes!
I wish every household throughout the country, including the residents of its capital, good health, a prosperous life and happiness, and I wish our beloved Tajikistan lasting peace and stability, as well as ever greater progress and development.
Happy Independence and Freedom Day of our beloved Motherland, dear compatriots!
Long live and prosper independent Tajikistan!
