Tajik Ambassador Meets Pakistan Food Security Minister to Advance Bilateral Ties

Islamabad, September 11, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Pakistan H.E. Yusuf Sharifzoda met with Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research of Pakistan Rana Tanveer Hussain in Islamabad on September 11, 2026, to discuss bilateral relations and prospects for further cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed the current state of Tajikistan-Pakistan relations and prospects for their further development, with particular attention to strengthening institutional ties and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between relevant institutions of the two countries.

The participation of Pakistan in upcoming international and regional forums and events scheduled to be held in Tajikistan was also discussed. In this context, the importance of active participation by representatives of Pakistani government institutions, business communities and expert circles was emphasized.

The sides noted that regular meetings and stronger institutional cooperation between relevant bodies would contribute to the further expansion of Tajikistan-Pakistan cooperation across various fields.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to maintain dialogue and further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the interests of Tajikistan and Pakistan.
