Dushanbe, September 14, 2026 – The Europe Today: A national scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 35 constructive initiatives of President Emomali Rahmon in the field of primary and secondary vocational education was held at the Technological College of Dushanbe.
The conference was organized with the participation of representatives of the Committee for Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, educators, specialists and students.
Participants discussed the significance of state independence in strengthening national statehood, ensuring peace and stability, as well as the importance of the President’s constructive initiatives for the development of vocational education. The achievements of the primary and secondary vocational education sector were also reviewed.
Particular attention was given to the preparation of qualified specialists, enhancing the status of teachers and creating favorable conditions for students.
Speakers emphasized that, owing to state independence and the constructive and forward-looking policy pursued by President Emomali Rahmon, favorable conditions have been created in Tajikistan for strengthening the foundations of statehood, maintaining peace and stability, and promoting sustainable economic and social development.
During the years of independence, new opportunities have been created for the advancement of science, strengthening scientific capacity and training highly qualified professionals. Science has increasingly become an important factor in sustainable development and national progress.
It was noted that primary and secondary vocational education has become an important component of the country’s social policy during the independence period, with consistent measures being implemented to promote its development.
Improving educational infrastructure, enhancing the quality of education and introducing modern technologies were identified among the sector’s key priorities. Today, vocational education institutions play an important role in training skilled specialists, strengthening the professional knowledge and competencies of young people, and meeting the needs of the labor market.
At the conclusion of the conference, a number of employees and teachers were presented with sectoral awards, certificates of merit and letters of appreciation in recognition of their effective work and contribution to the development of vocational education.
Students who actively participated in events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence, as well as institutional competitions, were also honored with certificates and letters of appreciation.
