Dushanbe, October 3, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, has extended warm congratulations to teachers, educators and employees of the education sector on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
In his congratulatory message, President Rahmon wished teachers good health, happiness and success in their professional activities.
The President described teaching as one of the most honourable professions, while emphasising its immense responsibility, as the development of the state, progress of society and future of the nation are directly linked to the knowledge, worldview and upbringing of generations nurtured through the dedicated work of teachers.
He said that since the early days of independence, the development of science and education, creation of favourable conditions for the education and upbringing of younger generations, and enhancement of the status and standing of teachers have been identified as priority areas of the social policy of the Government of Tajikistan.
Over the 35 years of independence, considerable efforts have been made to advance the education sector by mobilising available opportunities and resources, while continuous measures have been undertaken to improve the social conditions of education-sector employees and support teachers, he said.
President Rahmon affirmed that these efforts would continue, stressing that the role and responsibility of teachers are becoming increasingly important amid the rapid and unprecedented development of science, technology and modern technologies.
He called on teachers to guide young people toward acquiring modern scientific knowledge, learning foreign languages, mastering advanced technologies and studying natural sciences and mathematics. At the same time, he stressed the importance of educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, respect for national values, preservation of the history and cultural heritage of their ancestors, diligence and responsibility.
The President emphasised that teachers should demonstrate high standards, discipline and responsibility in fulfilling their important and future-oriented mission, particularly by paying close attention to improving the quality of education and educational and character-building work.
He stressed that teachers should always remember that the future of the state and nation begins with schools and education, while the foundation of a prosperous and progressive Tajikistan is being built by today’s teachers through their knowledge, enlightenment and dedicated work.
President Rahmon expressed confidence in the constructive potential of education-sector employees, the experience of seasoned teachers and the efforts and initiatives of young educators in educating and nurturing future generations of the country.
Concluding his message, the President once again congratulated teachers, education-sector veterans and all employees of the education sector on Teachers’ Day and wished them good health, happiness and success in fulfilling their honourable educational mission.
