Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon highlighted the strategic significance of the Middle Corridor, a trans-Eurasian trade route linking Asia with Europe through the South Caucasus. She underlined Slovenia’s intention to not only enhance collaboration in the energy sector but also expand partnerships in transit and logistics. “Via the Middle Corridor, Slovenia aims to boost trade relations with Central Asia and other Eastern countries,” she noted.

Other speakers at the forum discussed opportunities for joint ventures in pharmaceuticals, tourism, healthcare, agriculture, and investment promotion. The potential for exchange of expertise and technology in these areas was highlighted as a key factor in fostering sustainable bilateral growth.

The forum also featured B2B (business-to-business) and B2G (business-to-government) meetings, enabling Azerbaijani and Slovenian companies to engage in direct dialogue. Entrepreneurs exchanged information on Azerbaijan’s business environment, investment climate, taxation system, and legal frameworks conducive to foreign investment.

Participants from the tourism, pharmaceutical, and agriculture sectors expressed a strong interest in organizing reciprocal visits to further facilitate cooperation. Both sides agreed to maintain close contact and work toward establishing practical frameworks for joint projects.

The forum reaffirmed the commitment of Azerbaijan and Slovenia to fostering a robust and diversified economic partnership, with a shared vision for expanding ties in both traditional and emerging sectors.
