Islamabad, April 21, 2025 – The Europe Today: The United Arab Emirates’ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday for a two-day official visit aimed at advancing bilateral cooperation and reinforcing strategic ties between the two nations.
Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, Sheikh Abdullah was warmly received by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar. The visit has been described by both sides as “significant” and a reflection of the “deep-rooted and historic ties” that unite the UAE and Pakistan.
“This high-level visit underscores the commitment of both sides to broadening the scope of mutual cooperation in areas of shared interest,” the Foreign Office of Pakistan stated in an official release.
During his stay, Sheikh Abdullah is scheduled to meet with a number of senior Pakistani officials, including Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The delegation-level talks will focus on deepening collaboration across a range of sectors including trade, investment, energy, and regional security.
Enhancing people-to-people contacts and exploring new avenues of economic and strategic partnership will also feature prominently on the agenda. Additionally, the two sides are expected to exchange views on regional developments and discuss joint initiatives aimed at fostering stability and prosperity.
The visit is seen as a reaffirmation of the strong diplomatic relationship between the UAE and Pakistan, rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a long history of cooperation on bilateral and multilateral fronts.
