Ashgabat, October 20, 2025 — The Europe Today: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Sugiono.
During the discussion, the two sides reviewed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Indonesia.
Both ministers emphasized the long-standing and effective cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, particularly the United Nations. In this regard, they agreed to continue making concerted efforts to strengthen joint work within the Community of Nations, including the implementation of initiatives advanced by Turkmenistan and Indonesia on international platforms.
The ministers also exchanged views on the organization of the upcoming International Forum of Peace and Trust, to be held in Ashgabat on December 12 this year. The event will commemorate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the International Day of Neutrality.
